What if my staff member has requested a pay rise?

If your offshore team member asks for a pay rise, don't agree to anything on the spot. WorkmodeX needs to review the request and run a performance review before any change is agreed. Here's how it works.

01Send an email to the team leader

Forward the request in writing to the team leader (cc your WorkmodeX relationship manager). The email should include the team member's name, current role and salary, what they're asking for, and the reason they've given. Nothing proceeds until that email is sent — verbal requests aren't enough.

02Performance review

The team leader conducts a structured performance review covering output, reliability, growth in the role and the market rate for the position. This is the evidence base for any decision — a rise isn't agreed until the review is complete.

03Decision and timing

Once the review is done, we come back to you with a recommendation and, if appropriate, a figure. Any agreed change is applied from the next pay cycle and reflected on your monthly invoice. We won't backdate a rise without it being reviewed first.

04What not to do

Don't promise a rise directly to the team member, don't agree to an amount, and don't let a conversation about money turn into an informal commitment. Everything runs through the email-and-review process so it's documented and fair.
