Managing Your Team
Communication, tasks and workload
9 Common Questions
Common Questions
Who manages the employee's daily work?
You assign daily responsibilities and role-specific priorities. WorkmodeX adds support through coaching, check-ins and workforce management.
How should I assign tasks?
Include a clear objective, priority, deadline, supporting information and the expected result.
How should competing priorities be handled?
You or the designated manager confirm which task takes priority. Team members should raise conflicts immediately rather than deciding alone which important task to delay.
How often should I communicate with my team member?
Regularly, especially during onboarding. Brief daily or scheduled check-ins clarify priorities, remove blockers and maintain accountability.
What tools can we use to communicate?
Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Slack, email or your existing communication systems — whatever your team already uses.
How do I manage an offshore employee effectively?
Set clear expectations, document processes, define measurable outcomes, communicate regularly, give timely feedback, and encourage early escalation of problems.
Should I monitor hours or outcomes?
Both. Attendance and availability matter, but performance should also be assessed on completed work, accuracy, responsiveness, deadlines and agreed role outcomes.
What should I do if my team member has too much work?
Review the current task list, deadlines and priorities. Confirm what comes first and what can be rescheduled or reassigned.
What if I want to change the employee's responsibilities?
Discuss material role changes with WorkmodeX first. We assess whether the change is reasonable, whether extra training is needed, and whether it affects the employee's position or compensation.
